NO HUMAN BEING IS ILLEGAL (IN ALL OUR GLORY)
2014-2019

No Human Being Is Illegal (in all our glory) is a long-term, workshop-based, evolving, collaborative, life-sized collage portrait project involving participants as subjects and as teaching and learning collagists.

In 2018 the suite was acquired by the Wellcome Trust, London, for their permanent exhibition Being Human. In November–December 2019 I was Wellcome Trust’s first international artist in residence. I lead 70-plus people over 5 weeks of workshops to create portraiture of artist and drag performer Danny Smith, in collaboration with Danny himself.
